Dermicidin is an antimicrobial peptide that forms a microbe-killing pore when it binds to Zn. This is a rendering of the pore-forming structure: six alpha helx units held together by Zn. The peptides are shown as surface renderings with the Zn binding site shown as sticks and spheres.
