Thanks for checking out our switches! This is for a R104 right hand switch for LEGO trains. These are modified versions of the prototype switches for the Kickstarter coming later this year. There is some assembly required, so please see the provided assembly sheet. Note that you will also need one of these Switch Stands
to go with it. You may need to do a little sanding for everything to fit correctly, this is normal and a function of 3D printing. Also, you will need to source a small rubber band for the point, I've been using the lightweight version of these from Amazon
In addition to the above, these switches use Code 100 HO rails for electrical contact. The HO rails insert upside-down into the switch rails, and the ends will need to be modified for whatever tracks you connect to the switch. There are pass-through ports where a conductive wire or strip of metal may be installed, allowing you to jumper the rails as needed. This is definitely a kit for more advanced users.
To attach the cover plate to the bottom, you can use a soldering iron to weld the posts to the cover. Alternatively, you could simply put a bead of glue at each one, and that should hold just as well.
Please let us know what you think! We want to get this right!
