Artist reference statues are too expensive, but are an essential tool for those looking to better understand the human form. So I decided to sculpt my own and put it out at an affordable price. This Idealized male anatomy écorché figure is 6 inches tall, ideal for desktop reference and portable enough to be taken out for plein air studies. The insertion points (where the muscles connect to the bones) and muscle volumes have been enhanced to preserve detail at this size. I've had this sculpt critiqued by several anatomy experts, and will continue to update it periodically as my own knowledge improves.
