The Luscombe 8 is a high wing, side-by-side seating, conventional geared monoplanes designed in 1937 and built by Luscombe Aircraft. Production continues to this day although the aircraft has undergone numerous modifications. This model is a 1/144 scale Luscombe 8E, a post World War II aircraft with some 5,500 being sold. The model features a clear windshield and windows, and both stationary and spinning propellers. Two options are available for the forward landing gear. A pilot hole is provided on the underside of the fuselage for those who want to display the model in-flight.
