SR Maunsell Restaurant/diner coach

 

Originally introduced in 1927. Various interiors were fitted, all using same body shell.

Diagrams 2650,2651,2655 and 2656 cover these.

In 1947 some were modified with new interiors more suited to a buffet car, diagram 2659 . Diagram 2661 was a similar modification, and one of these was used in the Night Ferry train.

In 1953/4 more modifications were done, but this included alterations to body shell as well, diagram 2666.

The last Maunsell restaurant coaches were withdrawn in 1963.
