Product Description
This product is an OO Scale Lynton & Barnstable Railway Open Wagon in OO or HO scale (also known as the cina clay trucks from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends). They are based off of the Tenmille kits used in the Thomas & Friends TV series, as well as the OO9 scale L&BR Open Wagons by Peco / Bachmann.
This version of the truck does NOT come with buffers (as seen in the 3D model preview). If you would prefer a version with buffers, that can be found here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/ABFTCYDT8/l-br-open-wagon-w-buffers-oo-scale
In order to complete this open wagon, it will need to be painted, have wheels added, and it will also need couplers. For wheels, most types of OO or HO scale wheels will work, and if the axels seem too long to fit, simply carefully sand down the axels a tiny bit at a time until they fit perfectly. For couplers, you can add any couplers of your choosing (such as standard hook and loop couplers) which can be easily glued to the bottom of the truck. If the couplers do not line up with normal couplers on other tucks, then add some more height to the bottom of the frames using something like matchsticks or balsa wood. Alternatively, you can use the included hook on the wagon body to add a small chain to, and connect your trucks and engines using that.
Please note the test 3D prints you see in the photos are done by my own cheap 3D printer, so they are much rougher than the ones you would receive if you buy one. Also, the photos are of the version WITH buffers, while this product is the version without buffers.
