Two bishop paths in the 3D chess board: one path on the white
fields, the other on the black fields.
The bishops wander around each other,
but can never really meet.
The beam has a square-root-2 rhombus as cross section,
with square cut faces.
The segments are connected by 90-degree regular miter joints,
and 120-degree skew miter joints.
The light ring is a regular hexagon.
The dark beam traverses roughly a (1,3)-torus path.
