Impactor Custom Kit

Do you want a great Impactor figure but think the FOC mold is terrible? I do and that's why I created this kit! Grab yourself a FOC Optimus Prime figure and this kit and make your own deluxe Impactor! This custom requires some work and a few tools and you'll have to do some painting, but I've tried to make it as easy as possible.

The head is a direct replacement, pop Optimus' head off and pop Impactor's on. For the tank treads, remove the bottom wheel on each side (just pop 'em off) and the treads clip into the wheel port and weapons port on the legs. The treads are designed to leave the other wheel on so the figure will still roll in vehicle mode but the wheel is hidden behind the treads. The harpoon requires removing 2 screws from the arm and replacing the fist with the harpoon.

The only things that require cutting are the shoulder caps and bolt heads and the chest piece. For the shoulder caps, cut the top off the existing arms (there's a line just above the ball joint - use it as a guide for a straight cut at the right height) and glue the caps on in place of them. There's even a raised section on the bottom of the cap that makes sure you get it located properly with the edges lined up.

For the chest piece, position it as desired and mark the location of the 2 pegs on the back. Then drill holes slightly smaller than the pegs and pop it in. Same thing with the bolt heads that go on the front of the shoulders. If you don't want to drill, just cut the pegs off the chest piece and bolt heads and glue them right on.

This kit includes all the pieces mentioned above plus Impactor's pistol from the "Last Stand of the Wreckers" comic and his shoulder cannon from the same comic. There is no parts forming or removing parts for transformation with this kit. Impactor transforms into both modes with no problems with all pieces attached. This kit has been tested in WSF Polished and I highly recommend using that material. The peg on the pistol is made slightly oversized and there is some interference between the cannon and its mount to account for wear during the polishing process. If you order in another material, some light sanding will be required for proper fit. If you don't want the whole kit, Impactor's pistol is available separately in my shop. If there's other pieces you want but don't want them all, just contact me and I'll separate them out for you.
