1/700 CSS Fredericksburg & CSS Virginia II

Both built in Richmond, Virginia, the ironclads CSS Fredericksburg and CSS Virginia II were built between 1862 and 1863, becoming part of the James River squadron after completion. The two ironclads participated in an engagement at Trent's Reach against the monitor USS Onondaga but no significant hits were recorded. With the evacuation of the city of Richmond in April 1865, both ships were blown up by retreating Confederate forces.
