3D printed in matte translucent plastic that showcases fine and intricate details.
This item was created for my own use to enhance my DeAgostini Millenium Falcon Model Kit.
I was not happy with the original Turret Windows shape and Detail. So I created one that met my expectation and let it print by "Shapeways". The great result of v3 overcame my expectations and led me to create further parts (see my "Cockpit Cone", too). But of course we are never happy. I enhanced the "lip" on the windows back to give it a more secure fitting in placing it into the original turret part. So here t is as version "v4".
The Window fits perfect into the upper and the lower Turret, when printed accurate. I ignored the placing nose. I am pretty sure, you will be able to glue it yourself into the right position.
Printed in "strong & flexible polished" it comes out very usable (I tested it with one filling layer) while printed in "frosted ultra" it looks perfect right out of the box (off course you still have to paint it yourself).
Any kind of feedback is welcome.
Why green? It is offered in green strong & flexible polished here, because this makes the procedure of filler spray (usually grey) better controllable. And yes ... I like green, too.
