'Hatch' frames feature an intricate latticework that makes these glasses incredibly lightweight - and looking like no eyewear you've ever seen. Another interesting design feature is that the hinges are printed directly, so there is no assembly required for the legs. These 'smart hinges' fix themselves in position when the glasses are opened.
The polyamide used to manufacture these glasses is strong and somewhat flexible, and can be washed (even dishwashed!) after removing the lenses. This material tends to smoothen and fade slightly with wear, not unlike, for instance, jeans textile. The size and shape of these glasses have been optimised to fit to most people's heads, and even wider noses will fit. For most men, they will appear as a regular-sized pair of glasses; with most women, or men with smaller heads, they will also fit great, but more like slightly oversized 'moviestar' type glasses.
