The Seltorians are an insectoid species genetically engineered by the Tholians to be their primary servants in the Tholian Home Galaxy (M81). The Seltorians operated warships to maintain the Tholian Will. After the Revolt, the Seltorians pursued the fleeing Tholians to the Milky Way Galaxy and (with Klingon help) set up a base to continue their prosecution of Tholian War Criminals.
The Seltorians had never used fighters, gunboats, or other "attrition units" in the original M81 Tholian Home Galaxy, but quickly grasped the need for such expendable firepower when the Klingons showed them their fighters. The Seltorians converted heavy cruiser hulls into strike carriers with 12 fighters, producing their own copies of the Klingon Z-Y fighter in a factory provided by the Klingons. One of the
things the Klingons impressed upon them was how vulnerable the fighters were during their initial launch and later landings, which caused every empire to build specialized "escort" versions of standard warships (with more defensive and fewer offensive weapons).
This ship is a variant of their standard light cruiser with more phasers and fewer heavy weapons.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
