This is a replacement for the fore reaction control system thruster module on the Monogram 1/72 space shuttle kit. The thrusters themselves are modeled as hollow tubes. Modelers seeking to simulate their shuttle in launch configuration with the rain covers installed over the RCS thrusters should consider purchasing my other version of this model without the hollow thruster tubes, which facilitates adherence of the overlying decals.
The difference between this modified version and the other version of the RCS insert on orbit/landing config in my shop is that the areas for the thermal blankets is slightly more recessed, which is designed to accommodate the approximately 0.3 mm thick aftermarket blanket overlay created by Hotdog (link). Modelers who are not planning on simulating the thermal blankets with a modification such as this should purchase the other version of this part in my shop.
