Product Description

"The Galloping Ghost of the Java Coast" is one of the Northampton-class heavy cruiser (with extended forecastle); participated in the Battle of Java Sea but was sunk the next day at the Battle of Sunda Strait (along with CL HMAS Perth and DD HNLMS Eversten)
Model depict USS Houston as she would've been fitted at the time of her loss in 1 March 1942 (Chicago and Augusta was refitted the same year; with differences at the mainmast and director platforms, and replaced the .50 cal light AA with 20mm Oerlikons)
