Product Description
Part 1 of 3. SAME TEXT FOR ALL 3 PARTS: The servo hood can be lashed to a circular servo horn with sturdy thread or florist wire. Then a beam can slot into that and be secured in place with a cotter pin from the hardware store or more florist wire through a cross hole. The beam can connect to a dimmer with a special D-shaped hole on the rounded end and/or to any of the 5mm long led's (uv, ir, long, maybe even controllable rgb?) in the other four holes. Make linkages by using 3 or more beams with beam connector pins.

Imagine a project where you would have a beam connected to a dimmer with a 5mm led poking through the end of the beam. As the dimmer is twisted, either manually or automatically, the led changes intensity or color as it moves through an arc. This setup could be used for a purely aesthetic designs or to convey information similar to dials on car dashboards.

Imagine still another project where the servo moves the dimmer with at least 3 beams and 2 connector pins serving as linkages in between. Insert an led in a round hole, turn off the lights, and observe the persistence of vision trail. Add linkages and move the connector pins into different holes. Take pictures of it with a slow shutter speed, and now you can compare and analyze the different linkage trails. If this were done with a controllable rgb led, the resulting graphics would be so cool!
