Product Description
The IJN "Taigei" was launched 1935 as a submarine tender for the japanese fleet. In 1941 she was rebulid as an aircraft carrier, the IJN "Ryuho". The IJN "Akashi" was a repair ship for the fleet an could handle nearly each task. During her duty, she repaired ships like the BB "Yamato" or the CV "Shokaku". The IJN "Kashino" was build as a special transporter for the huge guns and turrets of the "Yamato" class battleships. Also she saw service as an ammunition transporter.

Die IJN "Taigei" wurde als U-Boot Mutterschiff für die japanische Marine gebaut. Sie lief 1935 vom Stapel und wurde mobilmachungsmäßig 1941 zum Flugzeugträger "Ryuho" umgebaut. Die IJN "Akashi" war das modernste Werkstaffschiff der japanischen Marine und konnte fast jede Aufgabe meistern. Unter anderem wurden von Ihr das Schlachtschiff "Yamato" und der Flugzeugträger "Shokaku" repariert. Die IJN "Kashino" war ein Spezialschiff zum Transport der schweren Geschütze und Türme der Schlachtschiffe der "Yamato" Klasse. Ebenfalls konnte die "Kashino" als Munitionstransporter eingesetzt werden.
