First class of battleships built after the 10-year "Battleship Holiday"; succeeding the Colorado-class with a different hull form and more importantly, 16"/45 cal main guns in 3x 3-gun turrets. Model based off BB55 North Carolina, sister-ship BB56 Washington is visually identical, differing in light (20mm) AA locations and some platforms.
Can be quickly distinguished from the succeeding South Dakota-class by the presence of 2 funnels and are longer by ~12m.
Requires snips/clippers to remove turrets from under the ship; cut stems to length for hole; and adhesive of choice to affix them.
