Product Description
This pendant is based on the unusual shape of the Ophrys Bee Orchid. This wild orchid species has evolved its shape and coloring to mimic a bee pollinating a flower. Although in northern Europe and England the orchid self pollinates and has lost the need to look like a bee, in southern Europe this orchid uses scent and its obvious visual cues to attract bee pollinators. The bees 'mate' with the orchid, collecting and depositing pollen along the way.
