Product Description
This is an N-scale (1:160) model of an 8-foot Broadcast Spreader, typically used for spreading dry (pellet, granular, etc) fertilizer on fields.
Based on prototype dimensions, this model is a representation of a typical "modern" broadcast spreader, based loosely on the Willmar Super S500 models. This model features an 8-foot long storage hopper, with PTO-powered conveyer in the bottom, feading back to a large twin-spinner offering a broadcast swath of 50-80 feet, depedning on desired coverage and speed. This version of the model is in "Parked" position, with the PTO shaft hooked up in the stowed position & the jackleg in the extended position to support the front of the spreader. It is modeled with the hopper open, allowing the modeler to either load it, leave it empty, or cover it with their choice of material.
Designers Note: This is a finely detailed, miniature scale model. It is small, delicate and fragile. It is my reccomendation that this model not be treated as a toy.
