Poke Ball Insert for Keystone 1097 2x 18350 Batter

The concept behind this is super simple. Building a pokeball mod with a rectangular battery tray tends to not work out very well since you can only epoxy the tray on the four conners, which leaves everything exposed and visible. This solves these problems with a very simple, easy to use insert that fits perfectly into the pokè ball with the Keystone 1097 mounted directly to it.

Directions for use;
1. simply cut the smallest nub off of the bottom of the keystone battery tray(that one is useless for our application, so no love lost there).
• Usually a pair of flush wire snips and a razor to shave off any remnants does the trick nicely!
2. Now simply line up the two retention clips(on the bottom of the battery tray) with the holes on the insert and push the tray into place.
• You can also use epoxy to make it super secure
3. You can now solder your wires to the through hole pins on the battery tray, keeping them hidden from view once everything is placed in the poké ball. Keep in mind that once you bridge the contacts (both for parallel, or one side for series) the battery tray will no longer be removable from the insert without desoldering the bridge!
4. Now simply thread the wires through the holes to connect the rest of the components! Use the two small holes for the switch leads and the larger ones for the 510 connections. The long rectangle is for a piece of ribbon to be threaded through and epoxied on the underside of the insert. This piece of ribbon is used to make removing the batteries much easier once the mod is assembled.
