Star Empire Swordhawk Heavy Destroyer

One of the few criticisms of the Jayhawk destroyer design was that it lacked heavy combat power.  The Swordhawk variant added a third FTL drive unit, a pair of rear firing direct energy beam weapons, and a modular rear section that allowed the ship to be converted in a shipyard from a standard destroyer to an escort carrier, missile rack, or other variants. Perennial budget shortfalls in the Star Empire meant that none of the expected modules were ever built.

 One 1/3788 scale space ship. Model is roughly 20mm wide and 36mm long.

 Model has a 2mm hole for mounting on a flight base.
