Product Description
The Pacific Electric 300 class, known as 'Blimps' due to their large size, were rebuilt from NWP cars after the WWII. The Blimps served across the Big Red car system until the end of trolley operation in LA in 1961. This is the motor car, as the cars were often used with trailer cars [available as another file in N Scale Kits shop] in a two or more car consist. This version has end door vestibules.
The car is re-designed [in Feb 2021] to be mounted on a Tomytec chassis TM-23
It was the Blimps that 'starred' in the film Roger Rabbit, as the' toons fought to keep the trolleys on the road!
