This is a 1/144 model of a 1916 model Albatros C.V. The Albatros C.V two-seater's success was limited by the troubles with its Mercedes D.IV engine. However, over 400 were constructed, and the lessons learned in its evolution were put to good use in the Albatros C.VII and C.X, with Benz Bz.IV and Mercedes D.IVa engines respectively. These improvements included balanced control surfaces, elevated observer gun ring, and the in-wing radiator.
This model comes in 1:144 and 1:285/6mm/1:288 scales. The 1:285 product includes two aeroplanes
, each with detachable, translucent propeller disks rather than propeller blades. They are joined by disposable links to keep the price down, since single-part models are more affordable. You can break the links with nail clippers, wire cutters, or similar.
