3D printed in matte translucent plastic that showcases fine and intricate details.
Product Description
Developed by the Canadian Armament Research and Development Establishment starting in 1953, the “Velvet Glove” was a semi-active radar guided AAM, intended to arm both the CF-100 “Canuck” fighter, and eventually, the Avro CF-105 Arrow.

However, due to concerns about the ability of the Velvet Glove to be launched at supersonic speeds, as well as being overtaken in performance by American weapons such as the Sparrow, the program was terminated in 1956, without the Velvet Glove ever seeing service.

Now available for use in your RCAF-inspired model builds, in 1/48 and 1/72.
