R/C 4-Pot Flat Rally Light Pod

This is a scale realistic 4-Pot style rally car light pod.  It is the same as the orignal 4-pot pod, but with all four lights oriented flat across.  The 'apex' where the pod fits over the front edge of the hood has been lowered slightly to prevent this design from blocking the entire grille area on most 190mm and 200mm bodies.

MOUNTING
Double sided tape (like VHB) and/or small screws can be used to mount the pod the body.  There are thick bosses where the pod fits over the hood for mounting.   . 

LIGHTING BUILD
This does NOT include lights or wiring, just the light pod.  Each pod has a small pilot hole that can be drilled out to fit LEDs up to 6mm diameter.  I wired mine using two 5mm white LEDs as two series pairs in parallel.  The lights are powered by a 9V battery installed on the foam bumper pad with dual-lock.  Pre-built universal r/c lighting kits found online should work as well if you don't want to wire the pod yourself.  After wiring, I potted mine with hot glue. 

Each pod has a small lip on the front that can be used to fit a lense cover.  I have made lense covers cut from a 2L soda bottle but overall I prefer the look without them.  I recommend 0.75" diameter circles for the lense covers and attaching with a couple dabs of CA or hot glue.
