1/700 Caravel Airship (short gondola)

A flying caravel is a cross between a dirigible and a helicopter, having some of the lift supplied by hot air or gas, and some supplied by rotating blades.  Some, such as this example, have most of the lift supplied by gas, and the rotors in place almost entirely for navigation.  The rotors can pivot to move the ship forward, in reverse, or turn, and steering the ship is much like steering a land vehicle with tracks.  This particular example is a cheap-to-build, short-range cargo transport for bringing supplies to areas not easily accessible by train.  The pilot house is a quonset hut inside the soapdish-shaped gondola, with one large window facing forward and small viewports facing below and to the sides.
