This is a set of Lego compatible Bearing Hubs created for use with 3/8"x1/8"x3/16" steel bearings.
Note: These are intended for:
- Rear (non-steerable) wheels and drivetrain
- Utilizing axle with stop (ex. bricklink item 87083) for smooth coasting with simpler suspension
- Low friction bearings for high speed/load applications
- Axle fit to mimic bricklink no. 32034
+ any other applications you can find!
A firm press fit will mount the bearings which can be used with regular lego pieces for a non-steerable rear wheel. Also, because of the way shapeways prices their versatile plastics, I can offer these at a lower price than you'll ever find original lego hubs for sale, and these are capable of greater stability, improved steering angle (with basic ackermann geometry), and much lower friction! Keep in mind, these can be used however you like, so don't think you're limited to using it as a wheel hub!
