Modeled from available photographs and technical information, this model represents the thermonuclear weapon first tested in December, 1968, airdropped from an H-6 bomber, the “524” project produced a 2000 kg, 3 Megaton device suitable for use in the DF-3/CSS-2 IRBM, or, apparently, as a gravity bomb.
Suitable for Chinese military model builds, and possibly by extension model projects for nuclear-armed nations that also flew the H-6, Tu-16, and/or received Chinese technical, military, or nuclear assistance.
