Alta Ski Area is one of the oldest and most desirable ski areas in the USA. Opened in 1939 at the end of a steep valley just East of Sandy, Utah, the resort's microclimate produces great amounts of low-moisture snowfall. The data for this model comes from laser-scans of the valley recently performed by the USGS, so large prints will have bumps for every tree, building, and lift tower. This map includes the whole valley, from ridge to ridge: Flagstaff Mountain in the Northwest, past Honeycomb Cliffs and Twin Lakes Reservoir, down over Mt. Wolverine and the Snowshoe Hill trail, South across Devil's Castle and Sugarloaf Mountain, finishing up at Mt. Baldy in the Southwest corner.

TinyMtn models are most affordable in the "Sandstone" and "White Strong and Flexible" materials. This model is in "Sandstone," which is a glued gypsum material. When you receive the model it will be ready for display, though it may smell funny and need some time to air out. "Sandstone" models are much more brittle than "White Strong and Flexible" models, but feel more like light stone. Do not soak it in water, though you can safely seal it with Polycrylic or a similar water-based clear spray sealant. Read more about this popular material here
