Product Description

Update 3: New design that includes two more rubber isolators under the motor.  If anyone needs parts to an older version please let me know and I'll upload it.

Update 2: Camera/Controller mount now sold seperately to hold different cameras.

Update 1: New version mounts the gimbal higher so there is no need to extend the legs.  Also, I added a new mount for the gimbal controller and for a mini camera.  And I took away the vibration locks, usually the xugong comes with two extras and you can purchase more through my store.  Parts will soon be available to purchase in pieces.  Directions will be updated for the new version soon.  If you need help installing an older version or you need new parts from an older version, please email me.

This is a front plate, motor mount designed for the Tarot T2d Gimbal to fit to the XuGong V2 frame. This part replaces the front plate of the XuGong V2 frame and allows you to mount your Tarot T2D Gimbal with the roll motor.

Does not come with the rubber vibration isolators.  Uses the same size vibration isolators from the XuGong V2 frame.  Also, please read through all of the instructions before purchasing to ensure that you are comfortable modifying your gimbal.

Directions:  Will update soon

1 - Install 4x rubber vibration isolators (not included) into the new front plate then the new back plate.

2 - Install 2x damper clips into the top two vibration isolators.  Then install 2x ear plugs into bottom two vibration isolators and trim off excess.

> At this point you can choose one of two routes to install. You can install the new 3d mount onto the XuGong and then the gimbal onto the new 3d mount. Or, you can mount the gimbal onto the new 3d part and then the new 3d part onto the xugong.

3 - Install new back plate onto XuGong V2.

4 - Add a layer of tape around the roll motor, then install Tarot T2d into new front plate. The tape helps creat a more snug fit between the roll motor and the front plate.  Next you'll need one of the four screws used to mount the Tarot T2d controller.  There are holes around the new front motor mount that lead to the roll motor.  Insert this screw into one of these holes but do not overtighten and strip the plastic. Tighten just enough to go through the plastic until it digs into the motor just a little.

Tip: If you want a more secure way to mount the motor, you can tighten the screw until it digs into the motor to mark the motor.  Then pull out the screw and pull out the roll motor and gimbal from the plastic piece.  Find the mark on the motor and drill a very small hole through the mark.  Re-install roll motor and gimbal, re-insert screw through plastic and into motor.

5 - Make sure motors and sensors are connected to the gimbal's controller.  Mount the gimbal controller under the roll motor of the gimbal using two of the four original screws that came with the Tarot T2d for mounting the controller.

Warning: This only fits the XuGong V2 frame.  If you would like me to make a custom motor mount for your Tarot T2d, let me know and we can work together to make a mount.
