RAF Calshot narrow gauge railway wagons
Covered wagon/coach
Started as a contractor's railway, it evolved into anintegrated part of the transport system of the opeational RAF Staion.
To convey goods and RAF personnel , wagons similar to those built for the WDLR in WW1 were used. Open wagons for goods, a covered wagon with central seat for personnel, and a modified covered wagon for officers.
The railway operated until end of WW2 when it was found that wagons were no longer safe to use. One of the locos is preserved on the Talyllyn Railway.
