The Advanced SEAL Delivery System was designed to carry 16 SEALs upwards of 60 miles into the operations area and back. A "dry" mini-sub design, the SEAL operators were transported into the operations area in relative comfort, certainly compared to the wet Mk8 and Mk9 Swimmer Delivery Vehicles, vastly improving combat effectiveness. Most of the sub's capabilities are classified.
