Detailed assembly instructions:
The first task, once they arrive, will be fitting and smoothing the plastic visors. Use a piece of 200 to 400 grit sandpaper to smooth the visor surface. Don't worry about it being perfectly smooth. Once they are sanded, cut the sprues connecting the two parts together. Then sand off the sprue stubs, along with any bits that don't fit quite right. Minor variations in the printing process mean that the fitting may or may not be necessary.
After you've test-fit everything, it's time to finish the plastic. I generally use spray-on high-gloss clear, but you could use black paint, or epoxy, or whatever you want. When the finish has set (make sure it's not even a little tacky, usually at least 24 hours), fit it again, sanding off anything that doesn't assemble well.
Finally, glue them together. I use hot-glue, but epoxy would also work if you don't plan to ever disassemble them. Simply assemble the visor and cufflink together, and then fill the whole back of the cufflink with glue. If you want to add a bit of extra heft, you can put a few beads of lead shot in and encase them with the glue, but the metal frames should be sufficiently weighty on their own.

After the glue has set, you may want a few coats of clear gloss over the whole thing, visor and metal. Clear hard nail polish works. Just something to keep the metal from scuffing during use. Of course, this detracts from the clean look you may be going for. If you only wear them occasionally and carefully, an overcoat isn't called for.
