Binnacles 1/35th Elco 80'

These parts fit Elco 80' PT boats. As provided they apply to PT 103-196 and 314-367. See the application list below. Exterior surfaces are to Elco drawings. Preparation
The first step is to clean all parts thoroughly. Handle very carefully as the plastic is brittle. Please see the guide and links here: http://www.pt103.com/3D_Printed_PT_Boat_Parts.html. For best painting results be sure to follow cleaning with a UV cure from a lamp with the correct output, or the sun.

Assembly
Fit locating bases to binnacles. Note that there are 2 different bases. The base with the taller compass dial fits the chart house roof binnacle with its mounting pad.
View windows may be done in one of the following 3 ways:
Use a liquid clear window product.
Use the template provided to cut clear windows.
Fit provided windows to binnacles if clear windows won't be used. Trim compass dials from mounting bases.
Drill locating holes on the boat using the drill guide provided.

1 5/8" port of boat center line.
Mounting block aft edge is against dead light.
PT 492-545, mounting pad replaced with taller binnacle mount (4"). Aft edge of mount located 4 3/4" aft of forward edge of removable hatch. Forward part of mount shimmed even with top of hatch, extend shim 1/2" beyond mount base.
PT 565-624 and 731-760, moved to inside chart room.

30" port of boat center line, centered over wheel and instrument panel.
Aft end of binnacle is 7/8" forward of aft edge of the horizontal bridge surface it mounts to.
