1/10 Scale Cherokee Hard Body Crawler Roof Rack

This is an aftermarket off-road, expedition style roof rack for the 1/10 scale Jeep Cherokee hard bodies. It may also work on the Axial Jeep Cherokee lexan body, but check your specs as I don't have one of those to reference myself.

This rack is built to be used and abused, so it's got heavy tubing, lots of supports throughout and beefy mounts. Based on the known material strength and past racks I've printed, you can roll your rig over on this rack again and again without issue as it's built tough. The frontmost section includes a nice solid plate for mounting your off road lights and the main cargo area includes plenty of crossbars for plenty of support and tie down options. Cutting a piece of fine mesh is another way to add scale detail and increase the interior surface area for cargo.

You can mount it as simply as using a few dots of Shoe Goo or you can drill a single hole in each of the six mount points and use a combination of a tap screw and a gel-like super glue to still a llow a little flex. Sure, there are some metal options out there, but do you really want a heavy metal rack sticking up off of your already heavy hard body?

As with most 3D prints, some finishing and tweaking may be required - sanding, drilling, etc. - to make it fit your body.
