Product Description
Our nucleosome is 5 million times real life. Like thread wrapped around a spool, DNA is wrapped around proteins called histones in eukaryotes to help pack a large amount of DNA into a small nucleus. Even though it's bundled up, there's still room to access the DNA for transcription. DNA shown in blue, histones 2a, 2b, 3 and 4 shown in greens.
