This is the data that I've been waiting for! If you've never been to Bryce Canyon, you may be wondering what the fuss is all about - why is this little park so well-known? It's nowhere near as deep as the Grand Canyon, there are no towering granite cliffs like Yosemite, no multi-day backcountry hikes like Glacier or Kings Canyon, no snow-capped mountains, so why is it in every National Parks calendar? Well, one look at the photos tells the story - it's a multicolored fantasyland of approchable, delicate soft rock pinnacles so tightly spaced, that it's claustrophobic. Combine that with the brilliant Utah sky and you get a weird, magical place unlike any other. You must take the short hike down into the valley, it's an experience.
So when I learned in 2017 that it was on the queue for LiDAR scanning, I was thrilled! Well, the data came out in June 2019, so here is your full color, 3D printed model of the main valley at Bryce! I included as little outside of the valley as possible, in order to keep all the detail in the most popular part of the park. Despite my best efforts, it was impossible to capture the true color and feel of the place, but I hope that this miniature gets us most of the way there. Please enjoy this latest addition to the TinyMtn family of detailed miniature landscapes.

TinyMtn models are most affordable in the "Sandstone" and "White Natural Versatile Plastic" materials. This model is in "Sandstone," which is a glued gypsum material. When you receive the model it will be ready for display, though it may smell funny and need some time to air out. "Sandstone" models are much more brittle than "Versatile Plastic" models, but feel more like light stone. Do not soak it in water, though you can safely seal it with Polycrylic or a similar water-based clear spray sealant. Read more about this popular material here
All TinyMtn models have hollow bottoms - this is to save on weight, and thus cost. Many larger models also have extra flanges on their undersides to increase rigidity and strength. To make the model more solid, you should feel free to carefully pour resin into the bottom cavity, or glue a properly-sized slab of wood or another material into it.
