Unusual twisted D8 (bumps inside)

This eight-sided die has only four outward facing faces.
If it lands with a hole up, you can look throuh the hole to read the number off the backside of a face.
Alternatively, you can subtract 4 from the outside number of the bottom face, as for resons of balancing, each face has four more dimples on the outdside that bumps on the inside.

While on the outside faces there are dimples for undisturbed rolling, on the inside there are bumps for better readability.


The die is fairly balanced because its convex hull has sufficient symmetry and I have calculated the center of mass to be less than 5 micrometers away from the geometric center.
