GAZ-69 (UAZ-69) ("Kozlik", "Gazik") — Soviet passenger car with four-wheel drive (4X4). It was produced from 1953 to 1973.
Created by the team of designers of the Gorky automobile plant (F. A. Lependin, G. K. shneyder, B. N.). Pankratov, S. G. Zislin, V. F. Filyukov, V. I. Podolsky, V. S. Soloviev, under the leadership of G. M. Wasserman) to replace the model of GAZ-67B.
The first sketches of the future machine began to do GM .Wasserman back in 1944.
In 1946 the official technical task for design of the all-wheel-drive car of high passability under the index "69" (the second in the history of plant ), and later under the name "Worker" was received (it meant not only army, but also national economic value ). In accordance with the decree of the USSR from 21.04.1947 year and the tactical and technical requirements of the Main artillery Directorate of the GAS had to develop a lightweight army vehicle-tractor for towing trailers (battalion artillery systems ), weighing up to 800 kg and transportation of ammunition, heavy machine guns, 82 mm mortars and their crews.
