Product Description
This is as close as I could get to the 1981 concept design of what was to be named Space Station Freedom. This design with NASA, lead to what we now call the I.S.S. 'International Space Station'. I added in 6 oxygen tanks to the smaller truss sections, 3 to each side. The solar panels I know are smaller than what should be. But that was for 2 reasons. 1. it would have made the model seriously more costly. and 2. It would have required making a support cage to protect them from being broken off.

This station could very well be used in a table top gaming setup. As some really ancient space station for players to find and attempt to use.

I also made the end solar panel sections could be snapped off to change their display position. If you feel like trying, you could snap the end sections that the solar panels mount too, off. then drill the ends to put a brass rod to remount them so that you could display this Space Station with the solar panel sections turned.

This model was designed and scaled using a correct scaled CSM from the Apollo missions, and from the sizes of the Space Shuttles cargo bay. So I am sure it is a true 1/1000 scale.

The truss is a bit larger than it should be, but that was required to help get it to print. In the center of the main truss, on the bottom, is a pilot hole for mounting. Just get a 1 milimeter brass rod, get a 1mm drill bit, make sure the hole is cleared out, then mount the brass rod to a display stand, then attach Space Station Freedom.
This is so tiny, it can not be opened for any other material, it wouldn't print.
