Two Part Motorcycle Engine Ring

This is part 2/2 of my multipart jewelry Motorcycle engine ring. Order this part along with the corresponding base ring, for a full product.

Also needed are two M1.6 x 6 bolts and two M1.6 hex nuts for assembly.

Design

This piece represents the cap of a motorcycle engine's single cylinder. Real engines are usually cast parts without surface finish. For a precious design, the cap is polished. This also creates a contrast, which is why the cap is available in various polished materials.

The finished two part ring represents a detailed motorcycle engine with a cast base including air cooling fins, ignition plug, push rods, and connection for air and exhaust gas pipes with a cap in contrast material.

Assembly

The two parts ring (link) and cap (seen here) are assembled with industrial M1.6 bolts and hex nuts. While such steel parts are not found in conventional jewelry, they give this ring a special and unique character. Nuts are sunken into the base of the ring from the inside, so that the neat looking bolts are visible on top of the cap.

Zweiteiliger Motorrad Motor Ring

Dies ist Teil 2/2 meines Motorrad Motor Rings. Bestellen Sie dieses Teil zusammen mit dem Basisring für ein vollständiges Schmuckstück. Weiterhin werden zwei M1.6 x 6 Innensechskant Schrauben sowie zwei M1.6 Muttern benötigt. Alternativ kann ein fertig montiertes Modell mit Etui bestellt werden per Email an info@engineers-jewelry.de.

Design

Das gezeigte Teil stellt den Deckel eines Motorrad Motors dar. Während Motorblöcke in der Regel gegossene Bauteile ohne Obeflächenbehandlung sind, wird für ein edles Design wird ein polierter oder verchromter Deckel aufgeschraubt, wie an jeder Harley Davidson zu finden. Um einen Kontrast zu erzeugen, ist auch der hier erhältiche Deckel in verschiedenen Materialien mit polierter Oberfläche verfügbar.

Der vollständige, zweiteilige Ring stellt den Zylinder eines detaillierten Motorrad Motors dar, mit Kühlrippen, Zündkerze, Stößelstangen, sowie Anschlüsse für Luft und Abgas dar.

Montage

Die beiden Bauteile Ring (Link) und Deckel (hier gezeigt) werden mit M1.6 Innensechkant Schrauben und Muttern befestigt. Während die verwendung industrieller Stahlteile im konventionellen Schmuckdesign nicht zu finden ist, macht diese Vorgehensweise den Wert und einzigartigen Charakter des Rings aus. Die Muttern sind dabei von innen in den Ring versenkt, sodass die Schraubenköpfe auf dem Deckel sichtbar sind.
