Product Description
HO scale bay window caboose kit, less interior, trucks, wheels, coupler boxes, couplers, steps, handbrakes, end railings and other details. This is just the basic body, roof, ends and underframe. The other parts aren't practical to 3D print, so I recommend using Moloco draft gear, Athearn Genesis trucks, Moloco or Plano crossover platforms and steps and Moloco handbrake details along with wire and styrene shapes to complete the model.
I am not an expert on either the Chicago Northwestern or the Rock Island, so I can't claim these cabooses cover the fleet of either railroad completely. In my research I identified four Rock Island bay window caboose types and eleven Chicago Northwestern bay window caboose types. I have titled them CRIP A through CRIP D and CNW A through CNW I. The letter R after the CNW type denotes the caboose was rebuilt with plated over windows. At this time I don't have enough information on the windows of the CNW cabooses to draw them in the original form, so only the rebuilt types are available.
