Want to create your own Big Hero 6 microbots? Then this is the file for you! Note that this is quite a large project, prepare to be spending some hours getting these microbots finished, as well as purchasing some additional supplies like magnets, paint, sanding paper and some petri dishes for the final touch. First and most importantly, you'll need to get your hand on some magnets! This isn't a step-by-step tutorial, which I might consider making some day in the future.

CIRCULAR BASE: You will need a 5mm sphere magnet, where the best you can get are the Zen magnets, which has an a great tolerance and are overall the best I know about. The only sad thing is that you'll have to paint them black. You can also get some cheaper ones, but they will have to be painted as well as the black color on the magnets is not really a deep black, more metallic. Note that they also are lower quality.

ARMS: After you have spent some time digging out the dust from the arms, you'll be ready to glue the magnets into the arms! I used a paperclip to be sure that I got all of it, as well as sanding on the tip of every arm with some fine sanding paper. Push the magnet all the way into the arm to make sure it is well connected. Make sure that you get the correct amount of north and south pole arms! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
10x2mm cylinder magnet

ARMS ADDON: I personally thought that the arms didn't connect as tight as I hoped to the magnet sphere, so I got some smaller cylinders to add directly to the sphere that are not glued to anything. These magnets will make sure that you'll have a stronger connection between parts.

PROP ADDON: I also got some plastic petri dishes to make it look even more realistic like in the movie. These worked perfectly, and is also really good price (note, plastic):

To paint them I used a plastic primer spray followed by black lacquer spray paint. Note that the paint might "easily" peal off the metallic spherical magnet.

Happy creating!
