Omni Scale General Large Armed Freighter SRZ

This is a standard large (two-pod) freighter but the command module includes weapons for improved self-defense. Ships of this type were used in dangerous areas, or mixed into convoys to make them less vulnerable to attack. While armed freighters could be used with the fleet in regular combat, this would almost never happen as the ship is too small to travel with the fleet; its use would only happen if the armed freighter were already at the point of the battle (such as defending a planet). Ships of this type were used by national governments and major corporations. They might be owned by a planetary or colonial government which used them inside their star system but counted on them to add their weapons to any defensive battle.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
