3125 Scale Romulan KCR Heavy Battlecruiser WEM

The Romulans bought as many ships as they could from the Klingons, but the Klingons were at war and could not afford to release new production or new designs to the Romulans, instead giving them stored pre-war ships that had been taken out of service. The Romulans continued to campaign for the Klingons to sell them C7 heavy battlecruisers, a new design without any leftover copies in storage. The Klingons continued to promise that they would sell such ships when they were able to increase production to three per year, but they were never able to build more than one per year. Anticipating delivery, the Romulans prepared plans to convert the ship to their own technology, adding a cloaking device, replacing the disruptors with plasma-S and plasma-F torpedoes, and replacing the drone racks with racks for the small plasma-D torpedoes. At least one Romulan shipyard proposed to build C7s from scratch (not waiting for the Klingons to sell them) but this proved very difficult and work on the first ship remained unfinished when the General War ended. Besides the change in weapons, this ship includes a belly bird, scallops on the wings, and Romulan insignia for ease of distinguishing these ships from their Klingon counterparts.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. (Smooth Fine Detail Plastic makes an excellent cloaked ship!) Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
