This set includes the Bell GAM-63 Rascal, the North American AGM-28 Hound Dog and the Douglas GAM-87 Skybolt. The GAM-63 Rascal was the USAF's first nuclear-armed standoff missile. Also known as the B-63 and ASM-A-2, almost 60 production missiles were built, along with 75 prototypes. It had a range of about 100 miles at 2000 mph. The North American AGM-28 Hound Dog (also known as the B-77 and GAM-77) had a range of about 800 miles at Mach 2. About 700 were built and served for many years aboard USAF B-52 bombers. The Douglas GAM-87 Skybolt air-launched ballistic missile was intended for use aboard USAF B-52s and RAF V-bombers. Design range was about 1200 miles at 9500 mph. Later known as the AGM-48, it was cancelled after a series of failures in favor of sea-launched ballistic missiles.
