British VFM Mk.5 Light Tank
The VFM 5 light tank was developed by Vickers. It is also referred as the Vickers Mk.5. It is based on the XM8 light tank, developed by FMC. Overall design was simplified to reduce the price of the tank. The VFM 5 was aimed mainly at the export customers. First prototype was revealed in 1986. However this light tank received no production orders. The VFM 5 is a light and airportable vehicle. Its Hull and turret are welded from aluminum armor. Front arc is reinforced with additional armor plates. The VFM 5 light tank is armed with a fully-stabilized 105-mm rifled gun, developed by Royal Ordnance. This gun is loaded manually, unlike the XM8 fitted with an autoloader. Autoloader was removed to keep the production price down. This 105-mm gun fires all standard NATO 105-mm ammunition. A total of 19 rounds are located inside the combat compartment and are ready to use. Secondary armament consists of coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun and roof mounted 12.7-mm MG. The VFM 5 light tank has a crew of four, including commander, driver, gunner and loader. Vehicle is powered by Detroit Diesel 6M-92TA diesel engine, developing 550 hp. This light tank could be airlifted by the C-130 Hercules or larger military cargo aircraft.

Some part cleanup will be necessary. The 3D printing process uses a waxy substance to support certain part features during the printing process. Although the parts are cleaned by Shapeways, some waxy residue may remain.  It can be safely removed with water and a mild aqueous detergent like "Simple Green" using an old, soft toothbrush, Q-tips or pipe cleaners.  Customers report that "Bestine" and "Goo Gone" also work well.During the printing process, liquid resin is cured by ultraviolet light.  Microscopic bits of resin may remain uncured.
Let your parts sit in direct sunlight for a few hours to fully cure the resin.

Water-based acrylic paints meant for plastics is strongly recommended. Other paints, especially enamels, may not cure on Frosted Detail 3D-printed plastics.
Use dedicated model sprue cutters to remove parts to minimise the risk of damage to parts.
