Product Description

Rod test structures are useful for testing physical properties and painting/finishing techniques for various materials. Ten rods having just over 80 mil (2 mm) diameters are sprued together and may be separated with a small cutting or snipping tool. Each rod is approximately 2.8 inches (7.1 cm) long. At one end of each rod is a 300 mil (7.6 mm) diameter disk which allows you to hang the rod through a hole in a piece of cardboard or other material to suspend the rod while spraying or soaking it to test performance with various finishing compounds.

The diamond shaped geometry is included on the sprue section to identify that the test structure has minimum geometries of 80 mils. This helps to limit confusion between test structures which appear similar but have different minimum geometries.
