    Hi all

I'm new here but I would like to know what the smoothest material and finishing today is for a very small model, like an army man with a modelled face.

The one time I 3D printed small, it was WSF, very rough but I feel that there are other materials that have better results.

In your experience(s) what are the best materials in terms of smoothness?

Polished precious metals or Porcelain would be the smoothest, but not exactly good for army man models. straight out of the printer I'd put my money on hi-def acrylate or frosted detail plastics. With little post finish work you can get nearly glassy smooth with WSF by applying a few coats of cyanoacrylate or spray lacquer/clear coat.
