Shipping to Russia

Hi,

Do you have any update? The notice on UPS web site does not exist any more. Do you know if they have solved their problems already?

posted and answered four weeks ago in the general forum. Seems the message on the UPS page was simply lost
during a redesign, BTW similar information is still on the DHL website.
However, if I read it correctly this only affects shipping to private individuals, so if you can arrange for shipping/billing
to go to some company or university address it might work. (Can anybody confirm this please ? At least that might
explain why someone reported earlier in this thread that he received goods from one of shapeways' competitors
without problems)

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry we're unable to ship to Russia at this time. We simply aren't able to provide shipping to Russia per UPS's requirements for shipping on our end.

We are aware this is an inconvenience to customers that need packages shipped there and we're doing what we can to potentially offer that option one day, but at this time we won't be able to have packages shipped there.

But how can be UPSs Russia shipping requirements so different than for other hundred+ countrys?

UPS ships to Russia, theyve got 500 employees there...

...but is'nt there also production unit in Netherlands?
UPS can ship from Netherlands to Russia.
